I often wonder why I did it.

All I wanted to do was talk and maybe have a few drinks - not to the point that I'd be drunk out of my mind, but enough to ease the pain I was in.

I had gone through a particularly nasty break up. I not only lost my lovers, but I had lost my best friends as well.

I knocked on her door, not exactly sure why I was doing it. She looked up at me with wide eyes, as if she was surprised to see me.

"Renji-kun?" She asked. It had been a couple of years since we'd seen each other. I nodded. "What are you doing here? How did you even know I was here?"

I chuckled a little. "I work in the administration building." I answered. "As to why…I was wondering if you'd like to talk. For old times sake?" I asked

She stared, having the feeling something was wrong. Eventually she nodded.

"Come up with me to my room?" I asked, hoping against hope that Niou wouldn't be there. The only thing of his that I hoped was there was his stash of alcoholic beverages.

I took her hand as we climbed the stairs to the fourth floor, and guided her into the room I shared with Niou. I found the stash and poured us both a drink. I laughed bitterly. "To ex-boyfriends." I toasted. She raised an eyebrow at that.

"You're one to talk, Renji-kun." She said quietly. "And what's this about boyfriends?" She asked, curious. "Though that would explain why you wouldn't go further with me."

"I knew you were cheating on me, Keiko." I told her, throwing back the whole drink and pouring another. "I was dating Seiichi and Genichirou. We broke up this morning." I admitted as she held out her glass for more.

Keiko laughed. "So you were gay after all." She shook her head. "I should have known."

"I didn't want to have sex with someone I wasn't sure I loved." I corrected her. "And after I found out you were cheating on me, it just made things worse."

"I had to get it somewhere." Keiko said, looking down at the floor. I threw back yet another one. "You certainly didn't want me."

"That's a bit harsh, isn't it?" I said. "I never said I didn't want you."

Keiko glanced at me, and slid closer. I didn't even notice or care. The pain was finally starting to be dulled.

"Prove it." Keiko said. I looked over at her and remember why I fell for her in the first place. I nervously leaned forward and kissed her. She gave me a look that said she needed more proof than that. That was when she set the glass down and straddled my lap. "Renji-kun, you don't know what you missed out on." She said, sliding the zipper of my fly down and slipping her hand in. I gasped a little.

"Keiko…" I breathed, wondering what exactly she was going to do. My question was answered as she slid to her knees and started sucking on my cock. It wasn't half as good as the exes had been, but it still got me hard.

Keiko grinned as she pulled off and slid her skirt and panties off and finished unbuttoning and removing my pants completely. She pushed me down on the bed and straddled me again, sliding herself on me. I shivered a little as I realized what she wanted.

And I let her. I wasn't really in a state of mind to really care. I felt the natural reaction to these motions, and Keiko shuddered a little and fell down on to my chest.

"Not bad." She said.

"You would know." I said, distracted. "How many other guys were you doing it with back then?" I asked, genuinely curious.

"Too many." She answered. "I was really slutting around back then, and there were more than enough boys that wanted me. There were some that were even conscientious and tried to refuse since they were scared of you."

"The only place I was scary was the tennis court." I said.

"You don't play anymore?" She asked, caressing my face. "Why not?"

"It wasn't the same without them." I answered. "So I only played occasionally for fun." I sighed. There really wasn't any point in playing at all, was my real thoughts on the subject, but no one really needed to know that.

"That's kind of sad." Keiko said, brushing some hair out of my face.

"I suppose it is, but there it is." I said, sliding her gently off my lap so I could sit up and fix my clothes so I was decent. I handed her clothes so she could do the same, giving her a subtle hint that I was ready for this encounter to be over.

Keiko got dressed quickly. "If you need anything, don't hesitate to call on me. Even if that something is a quick fuck." She said.

I laughed a little as I showed her to the door. "I'll keep that in mind." I said, letting her out, then falling back onto my bed. I closed my eyes and fell into a drunken slumber.

The next day Seiichi called, apologizing and asking for us to get back together. I was willing to try this again.

I still wonder why what happened with Keiko happened.

I ran into her a few years later, a young child holding her hand. I shivered a little. She gave me a little smile and turned to go on. I stared after them and frowned, feeling guilty. She walked up to another man, and I realized the child didn't look anything like him.

"Thank you." I whispered quietly, and turned to walk away.
