First, I want to thank you for setting all this up and for doing a wonderful job the whole weekend! I really enjoyed the community, so here comes second: I'd love to keep up our interactions. On the weekends. When surfing teh net doesn't cost me. (It's a German thing) *gg* Because I can see myself getting addicted...
Thanks very much -- so glad you had a good time with this. And I think that if we do keep up interactions, we'll probably schedule a good portion on weekends, though some would likely be LJ threads, and some would take place during the week for those that work on weekends. Thanks for your input, and yes, if it can be free, then all the better!
Thank you so much -- glad you were able to attend some of them. Yes, we'll have to either have some designated "slow" chats in the future, or hook everyone up with typing lessons. :)
Glad to know you have an interest in this as an ongoing process. Thanks for your reply here.
I'd say definitely check out and read at least a few of the works of fellow community members, going by the links they've provided in that thread. Feedback is always a lovely thing, so if you enjoy the pieces, drop the authors quick notes or longer detailed notes depending on your reaction and inclination.
These are not pieces that were submitted for workshop, so I don't think anyone should assume that con crit is welcome for these particular works (though that may be different in the future in this community, with other threads, and more explicitly designated "workshop"-style posts).
If you do want to provide con crit, for now I'd email the author and ask if she or he *wants* such a response on the piece that they submitted to the group. If not, then don't; if so, go ahead with all kinds of friendliness. :)
Yes yes -- of course you're nice! I'm just leaving detailed answers to some of these questions in case other people wonder and want the full scope of the response.
