A few hours later Seamus was eating his first meal in a week. He did so slowly because every bite he took made his stomach knot and twist in unpleasant ways. Pansy was taking care of some business upstairs because she intended on moving Seamus tonight. She didn’t feel safe in their current hideout. She knew the Order was onto her and she didn’t want to have to fight them off, not without back up. Blaise was going to meet her at the new house and Theodore was going to stop by in a few hours, just in case there was an ambush.
What Pansy didn’t know was that Seamus had managed to grab the keys to his cuff from Pansy’s pocket. He was relieved she had tied him up using hand cuffs and not magic. He hadn’t mastered wandless magic and if it were up to that he’d die down there. Once he was free he headed upstairs. He felt energetic due to the meal and water he finished having. He wasn’t at his peak, but this would have to be enough to get some payback. He tiptoed quietly up the stairs and rounded the corner, pausing every so often to listen to every sound coming from the house. Everything sounded so different up here. He was familiar with some creeks but they were usually muffled. He didn’t see Pansy in the kitchen or living room, which meant she either had to be in the bathroom or a bedroom. A few more steps and he heard Pansy’s voice.
“Is everything ready at the new house?” she asked, speaking to the fireplace nearby.
“We have a few more details to work out, but it should be ready within the hour,” Blaise replied. Seamus could faintly make out Blaise’s floating head in the fireplace surrounded by green flames. He listened carefully, hoping they would disclose information he would use against them once he was back with his friends. A few minutes later Pansy was done giving Blaise orders and she started to undress so she could get ready for her shower. That’s when Seamus decided to strike. He came up behind her and hugged her tightly.
“What are you doing here? How did you escape?” Pansy asked breathlessly. Seamus had gripped her so tight around the middle it was making it difficult for her to breathe.
“Are you surprised? I told you that you weren’t going to keep me locked up for long.”
Pansy squirmed but his grip got tighter. She tried to trip him, but it didn’t work. Instead all her antics were delaying the inevitable. The minute she stepped on his foot he yelled and pushed her into a nearby bedside table. Pansy slammed into it hard causing it to break in the process. He grabbed her by the hair and threw her across the room. Before she could compose herself Seamus was on her, grabbing her by the hair again and this time he threw her onto the bed. He crawled on top of her and smiled. He felt victorious, in charge for once.
“I never knew you had it in you,” she said in between coughs.
“I’m very driven. You picked the wrong person to kidnap,” he said, his voice tinged with anger. The words came out like a snarl. Pansy tried to kiss him, tried to seduce him like she usually would but Seamus shook his head. “That’s not going to work this time. I did appreciate the occasional lay, but enough of that.” Seamus wrapped his arms around Pansy’s throat and choked the life out of her. She tried to whisper her regret, an apology, but failed.
