Alicia knew she wasn't a plain looking. She knew she didn't lead a plain life and she never had. Growing up in the Spinnet household taught her many things about life, among them the fact that life was beautiful and that there were adventures to have around every corner.
Ever since she started sleeping with Miles two months ago her life wasn't what it used to be. She hated to admit it but he brought something interesting to the table, even if they weren't in a serious relationship. He was passionate when she needed it and relaxed on those tough days she could barely get herself out of bed. She loved that he knew what to say to cheer her up and that he understood her better than she understood herself at times. Above all she loved that he didn't claim to know more about her than she knew about herself like some of her exes did - that's what happens when you date Ravenclaws, I guess.
She was touched that Miles showed up to her job to take her out for lunch on a particularly challenging day. This inspired her to express her gratitude by surprising him with tickets to watch his favorite Quidditch team. It was a simple gift, but she knew he'd love it. It's moments like this when she could see the joy in people's eyes that she truly knew she wasn't plain at all.
