It was after Quidditch practice, Alicia was the last one to leave the pitch. Everyone else had left in a hurry. She hadn't thought much of it because everyone had exams coming up soon. She didn't consider it a pressing matter like her team mates did. She had taken it upon herself to study for it in advance. She knew she would pass the exam. It was guaranteed. She remembered Fred and George harassing her for her notes. She handed them over once she was done with them and never saw them again. It was just like the two of them to take her notes hostage.
She slowly made her way over to the locker rooms. Katie was gone and Angelina was just heading out as she went inside. "See you later," she told Angelina, who smiled at her and nodded as she passed.
Alicia didn't expect to find flowers upon opening her locker. She grabbed the vase full of carnations. She took a moment to smell them. It was a pleasant scent. She smiled, wondering who would've gone through the trouble of getting these for her. Then she noticed the card among the flowers. When she read it she knew who it was from. The only problem was she didn't want to speak to him again. As grateful as she was that Miles saved her life, she wasn't in the mood for his flattery. They never led anywhere good in the past. She would find out what he wants and she would stop him from getting it, just like everyone other time.
