I'm so behind on replying to comments, but I had to pop in and say thanks (for reading and appreciating, especially outside your ship!). I confess, I am a Damon/Elena shipper--I started watching TVD for Ian Somerhalder, even--but I do like Stefan and Elena. And I don't mind seeing them together. Damon is so misguided about his emotions and what to do with them, but Stefan has a very strong sense of his own person. And I like that.

Well, I can probably never really promise you any Stefan/Elena fanfic where their relationship is central, but I can promise you that I absolutely do not tolerate bashing on my journal. So, if you choose to stick around...you'll only have to deal with everyone's opposite opinion, not their animosity.

There's not a ton of fic in this fandom, so I'm willing to try just about anything!

And I totally get starting TVD for Ian Somerhalder! I ship Damon with a bunch of people myself.

Really liked this - you had their quiet comfort, their just-off moments down pat.

And I totally get the way my skin smells after swimming in a river or freshwater lake - I always liked it. I really enjoy that Damon picks that out - he notices the little things that Stefan doesn't always pick up on. Lovely work for this pairing :o)

Hello, I'm here via a TVD comm... I absolutely loved this. I loved the atmosphere, the characterisation, the... well, everything. I would very very much like to see more fic of this ilk. Damon POV, about Elena or E/S. Loved this.
