I like this - because it's all so true.

...tells herself that this is for everyone’s benefit, but the road to Hell is paved with good intentions, and she’s not even sure if hers are always completely good anymore. - that's how it allllways starts, and weirdly, I never really thought about her like that. Yes, she justifies things she wouldn't've before, but all the stuff about "switching" it on and off is suddenly very pertinent here.

I'm not sure if Elena will really go as dark as I imply here, but I think she could--and I think her steady transformation will be heavily influenced by both Damon and Stefan.

A very well written one-shot. I think it is somewhat like this, with Elena constantly fighting to show how she's NOT Katherine. And this kinda dark! side was very interesting to read. Great job!

Wonderfly written I really liked how you got into Elena's head and went through how she feels about the Katherine thing. They never really did that in any of the episodes so this was great. :-)
