dude, that was some of the weirdest news to wake up to. the fact that it was an ex-cop and in manila.... i'm no expert on the philippines, but i was under the impression that crazy hostage shit there only really happened in the south with the muslim separatists. and i feel like it's been a while since they've done much (that's gotten the attention of the international press).

but seriously. what the hell kind of thought-process did that ex-cop have? "i was fired for extortion (or bad behavior? there are conflicting reports in the states) and want my job back..... i think a hijacking is the most efficient way."

what the hell.

ia completely. i wasn't even aware of what was happening until i got home. and the hostage thingy happened in the morning, at least here. yes, the muslims has been silent (or peaceful) for a while now and then this idiot ex-cop ruined everything. :|

yes, i read of the conflicts. not sure of it either. he was fired last year, if i'm not mistaken.

and, mte. he couldn't have been more stupid. :|

LOL. I have read all the crazy curses I've seen for the last days over this news. But yeah the ex-officer is raelly fucked up. Doing something bad then when it blows out of proportion he takes it to the innocent citizens. So much in our efforts to get our country slashed off from travels bans. And what more... we fucked mess up with the now 2nd largest economy and superpower in the world. Scary picture. >,< Though I think the ex-o would really wanna take this into the international scene and yeah even if it takes his life. Tsk... tsk... tsk...

it's not as much as gossip as it was of stealing. what other motive would they have aside from stealing from the bus? it contained foreigners. and foreigners mean money. :|
