If anyone has a nice clear sky tonight, and live far enough north, you might be lucky and get to see an aurora event. Three Solar Mass Ejections from the sun a couple of days ago should reach Earth orbit and us some time through end of Thursday and into Friday GMT. If you see it, please take pictures?! I will someday see the aurora, but I don't with this location and current weather if I'll get to. *hugs*

I shall try. My older Fuji cam has at longest a 2 second exposure, which would be insufficient but there might be a way to stack exposures and cancel out the differences to see if anything shows up.

I am watching the current distribution of auroral activity via a plug-in for Google Earth that overlays the map chart from NOAA onto the globe. So far it looks like any activity is still way too far north for me to see.
