It's all fun and games until Spike spends a few days as a sodding bunny.

Spike hadn't seen Xander since that damned bunny episode. It was probably good for Xander that he hadn't, but the little Slayerette couldn't hide from him forever. And when he found him, he'd...well. He wasn't sure just what he would do, but he'd make Harris pay. Somehow ( Read more... )

The fact Spike hadn't seen Xander since the whole magic deal is because Xander was trying to keep it that way. He wasn't about to let Spike get even, because he knew the ex-vamp would want too.

As it was, Xander was sitting under a tree, reading some comic books he'd borrowed from Michael, meeting that guy had been the one thing he'd been greatful to the jukebox for.

And totally oblivious to what was around him. this Captain Astro was awesome!

Spike didn't know Captain Astro, and likely wouldn't have cared to get to know him...but he smiled a cool predator's smile as he saw one Xander Harris. Alone. Unobserved and unobserving.

"Well, well. If it isn't the bunny-master," he purred as he stopped in front of Xander, feet planted and leather jacket settling around his legs. It was bloody hot, but Spike had almost grown used to it by now. At any rate, he wasn't giving up the damn coat. It was part of him.

Xander didn't look for a long minute, hoping beyond hope he had not just heard what he'd thought he'd heard. He carefully but the comic book aside before looking up.

And gulping. Oh god, he was so dead. He stood up slowly, hands in front of him. "Oh come on Spike...it was accident! Really!"

"Course it was," Spike agreed with a nod, gliding closer. "And to be fair, I'll make sure what I do looks like an accident, too." Oh, he wasn't going to hurt Xander. Not really--tempting as it was. But he didn't have a single objection to scaring him a bit.
