For me and Kazie
Marjoly and Flea
Keyword: Walking in the Air
I dunno how I feel about this one XP
"Aren't you cold?"
Marjoly turned around, seeing Flea emerge from the apartment, dressed in a pink robe.
"What was that?"
"I asked if you're cold."
If she wasn't, she was tougher than she looked, dressed in a simple lacy dark blue dress. Marjoly smiled lightly, looking back out over the balcony at the lights strung next door. She didn't answer, and the ever worrysome Flea decided to assume the worst. He strode over to her in two steps and draped a blanket around the blonde queen's shoulders, bringing her into a warm hug. The witch smiled, leaning back on the effeminate mage. Despite being smaller than her in body mass, Flea was quite supportive.
They cuddled in silence for a moment, watching the decorations beyond blink and dance.
"It's beautiful, isn't it?" Marjoly whispered, "I love this time of year...so many lights...if only it would snow here."
Flea nuzzled Marjoly's hair, close behind her ear, and whispered.
"I can show you snow."
"You can?" Marjoly couldn't help but ask. Flea smiled behind her, letting the blanket drop and wrapping his arms around her waist.
"Do you trust me?"
The blonde wasn't sure what to expect, but she leaned against Flea again, nodding, closing her eyes. They'd only been dating almost two months, but she felt she could trust Flea with her life. With her silent confirmation, the arms around her waist tightened.
"Then hold onto me...and keep your eyes closed."
Marjoly complied, clasping tight onto Flea's arms, keeping her eyes scrunched tight.
Why oh why didn't she see this coming? A brief pause, and suddenly the pressure around her middle tightened, and she could feel her feet lifting off of the balcony concrete. She gasped, suddenly flailing a little and tightening her grip on Flea.
"Shhh, just relax." Flea whispered still, "I don't want to drop you."
"Don't want to--you mean...?"
"Alright...open your eyes."
Marjoly's eyes fluttered open and went wide with amazement.
The two of them were hovering over the city. Hiiiiigh above the city. The lights only illuminated the world below, leaving the couple in the midnight darkness. Marjoly was speechless, only holding Flea's arms, watching in silent awe. Behind her Flea smiled, crossing one arm across Marjoly's chest so hold her more securely, and then began to move through the sky.
We're walking in the air
We're floating in the moonlit sky
The people far below are sleeping as we fly
The shock took a moment to wear off, and when it did Marjoly smiled, relaxing and moving to caress the arms holding her up. She looked around, the wind whipping her hair about, and dancing through the transcluscent wrap of her dress, which no doubt camoflaged her against the sky.
I'm holding very tight
I'm riding in the midnight blue
I'm finding I can fly so high above with you
The couple didn't speak as they flew. It wasn't known how fast they were going, and Marjoly certainly didn't know WHERE they were going. But the moment was too perfect to ruin it with questions. Flea nuzzled her hair softly, leaving a soft peck behind her ear. The witch leaned into Flea's lips happily, still watching the world pass below. They must have been quite a sight for anyone awake below.
Far across the wold
The villages go by like trees
The rivers and the hills
The forest and the streams
Children gaze open mouth
Taken by suprise
Nobody down below believes their eyes
We're walking in the air
We're floating in the midnight sky
And everyone who sees us greets us as we fly
Time was all but forgotten in their journey. After however long, Flea finally descended, setting them both down gently on the roof of some building. A familiar muffled crunch came from beneath their feet; the sound of snow being stepped in. They looked out at the town beyond them; it was completely white from the falling snow. The lights strong along the rooftops and doors reflected red and green on the sheet of white that blanketed them. Marjoly's eyes were wide with glee, and Flea smiled, not saying a word.
"Where are we?" the witch whispered after a moment.
"Somewhere further north." replied the mage, "That's all that really matters." she smiled at that.
"I never knew you could fly."
"I can't do it very often. Especially with added weight. But yes."
On the line about added weight, Marjoly looked over at him with a miffed pout.
"What are you trying to say?"
Flea quickly put a finger to her lips, shaking his head.
"I meant nothing. Don't ruin the moment." then he came close to her again, draping an arm around her shoulders and entwining the fingers of his other hand with hers, and whispered with a kiss, "Merry Christmas, Marjy."
Flea was right. It wasn't worth bickering right now. The night was too beautiful for it. So she instead turned toward his kiss, giving him a proper one on the lips. Even without her blanket or protective clothing, she still wasn't cold.
