Teyla recognized her symptoms right away. But it was impossible, she was assured this Cycle was NOT contagious. But on her way to Carson she touched Kavanagh by mistake. The next thing she knew… she didn't want to think about that. What mattered was that she was in a meeting with Rodney, John and the rest of them.
"This is big, huge."
"Rodney, I've just spent three Days screwing Kavanagh's brains off of all people. Get on with it."
"Well, if you'd have waited with the interruption, you would know that Atlantis had been a real bad girl. Remember a year ago when Atlantis shifted to earth normal, so that we all cycle? Not everybody Cycle, so it fixed that and several other problems."
This was where John started losing his nerve.
"Rodney, shmoopy*because he knew he hated all kinds of lovy dovy nick-names* how & WHAT other problems?"
After narrowing his eyes at his lover said shmoopy replied.
"Nantites, and as for the, ahem, problems well."
He began counting on his fingers.
1. Not everybody has Teyla's wraith sense and thorough healing.
2. Not everybody has Sheppard's skill with Alteran technology; note I said skill not gene. Because it turns out that the ATA gene is a form of genetic memory that contain the Psi skill of ATA.
And
3. Not everybody has Ronon's immunity of the wraith.
It was a long time until they recovered from the shock.
