Today I itched all over, and the air was warm. I walked this evening from 183rd street, along Fort Washington, then green Riverside, and finally down 9th to finally come to rest at the Skylight Diner on 34th street. Sounds like an interesting fellow. I've met a number of unusual characters from that neck of the woods myself. Maybe it's something about the culture. They're wonderful, in any case.

chasing contemporary or futuristic ideas and values, seems the sign of the times. We are so automatically convinced that our redemption has to do with understanding present reality and our ability to predict what's coming, that we need to hone our theoretical models of our future. All that is important, of course, if we want to steer away from danger, but we have to give it to just plain OLD FASHIONED, even, CLASSICAL philosophy. India of today is a mix of total extremes, hi-tech, low-tech (if there ever was such thing), capitalism and anarchy, spiritualism and racism, all make up a grim portrait of our struggle as a speices. Go figure.

Not only would visiting his museum be pleasurable, but I think it might also be quite proper.
