Curiously, the only thing that makes them worth a damn is our ability to string them together.

And to see them go by.

You two are all profound. Nicely so, too. Huzzah.

Mostly, though, just saying that getting to meet you guys was definitely a highlight of my year :) Happy New Years.

Yeeees, marvel in our profunditude. Profundity? Profoundedness?

Meeting you was a highlight of my year as well!

Exactly what I was thinking (though this may have something to do with all the Sondheim at last night's party).

Happy arbitrary passing of days. May they be full of joy and creativity.

I just like any holiday that gives me an excuse to drink while wearing a funny hat. Or any drinking holiday, really. And the fourth of july, because thats drinking, AND blowing shit up.

(One year, we got trashed, and took 200$ worth of mortar fireworks with us to a beach half a block from a friends house. The police came by every half hour, so we had to pick up all the stuff and run. Drunk. With explosives. God were we dumb, uh...3 years ago.)

My thought is that what we celebrate is the possibilities of the future. By the way I can remember when 2000 let alone 2008 seemed so far in the future.
