I started a campfire a couple weekends ago with kindling and wet/rotten wood.
I tried one of thse fire starter blocks that you're supposed to be able to light with one match... don't believe them. It took my kindling to start the fire starter.
Then all of the sudden the wood dried, and the fire really started burning. And Darius thought it was because of the piece of the wood he had just put on.

I could have started it with a bow drill. It is along the same lines as what Tom Hanks did in the movie, except you have a 'bow' with a string, a spindel of wood, a block of wood and.....ah, nevermind. Just accept the fact that I can start a fire without a match and leave it at that.
