That's about the short and skinny of it, from what I recall last I had a history class. Most of the history I've learned has been through Wikipedia. Kinda sad when a touted "inaccurate" online encyclopedia is more of a resource for learning history than school.

Well, I learned about this in school, but that might have been because I went to a fancy one. Still, a fancy one for Louisiana is probably still crappy. Have a bit more faith in our teachers.
