I have bought groceries before :P but it's always been dad or mum going, or I'm just sent to pick up an exact list of what's needed. I've never grocery shopped for myself, really.

well, my dad is a control freak :( and it's not like I've ever earned so much from Hoyts, either.

..Actually, that's one thing I really notice when I'm staying with my parents. Not choosing what food you buy/eat really does have a big impact on your sense of personal freedom. Being able to come/go as you like is probably the other big one.
