As some of you may know, our cat is kind of fat. See? I'm not lying. For the past six months or so, we've been diligently giving him weight control food. According to the label, if you give him 2/3 of a cup per day, it should help him lose weight. But the only thing is ... since January, he seems to have gained MORE weight. That's the other way he does it! He'll start meowing at 4:00 or 5:00 AM and I'll get up to feed him, then Dave'll feed him at 7:30 or so.

Our dog kept getting fatter, only we realized he was stealthily eating poo out of the front yard when we weren't watching. Little bastard.

It's not even desperation, it's like... his hobby. "Don't mind me guys, just tidying up a bit..."

Our cat will beg for food before the bowl is completely empty... just so he doesn't have to leave the bowl empty when he eats.

Also, he begs if the bowl is empty, even if he's not hungry. He begs, I feel him, he eats two pieces of kibble and wanders away. He's obsessive about the bowl being empty. It's terrifying.

On that note... would you mind if I added you? I've been wandering about looking for... um... 'like-minded' people in MA. I don't often ask to add people, so I'm sorry if this sounds ridiculously formal. I'm shy.

I'm pretty sure our cat is just doing it to irritate me now, as this morning he was whining non-stop and his dish was not empty. He's such a bastard.

And sure, feel free to add me. I read and comment much more than I post though.

I think cats were put here to make sure we would wander around our houses a few times a day, saying, "why, god, why?! Why didn't I get a goldfish?!!"

I've added you - thank you...
My posting goes in spurts... sometimes I post twice a day and sometimes not for a week.
