Last night I got to go to a sneak preview of Sweeney Todd with clearmind. I have been looking forward to this movie for a long time so I leaped at the chance to go.

The movie did not disappoint.

first of all....JEALOUS!!! I want to see that movie so badly. I have seen it performed a couple times on stage and I love the Angela Lansbury version. She is amazing as Ms.Lovett. I heard they cut some songs from the movie and I am interested in seeing which ones they cut.

Helena Bohmen Carter plays a VERY different Mrs Lovitt. Instead of the kind of...kitschy and frumpy version of Angela Landsbury, Carter is more dark comedy and slightly sexy. She compliments Depp, though, so it's an excellent performance in her own way.
