I have no idea why Sherman Alexie is involved with the Sonic's trail and, even more so, I have NO FRIKKEN CLUE what the trial is even about, but I do know this:

Ah, Sherman Alexie! He scares me a couple different ways, some good, some bad. I get the impression he's a vocal, passionate, and semi-famous basketball fan whose involvement in whatever legal proceedings went on was a publicity stunt. It worked; I would not have read a single word about a Seattle basketball team if his name weren't in the byline.
