Okay so after having completed the game and having clocked 72 gameplay hours (still counting), I can't help but want to rant about do a mini review of the game. No spoilers, unless stated otherwise of course, but I'm thinking of doing a separate post for spoilery stuff.

Must say first of all that FFXIII is supposed to be a triple A title. I can't ( Read more... )

woah interesting review.

to be honest, i played slightly less then 2hrs of the game since i only got it last nite.
and its not really attracting me.. i'm still thinking about dragon age which i was still playing.

One Straight Line <-- totally agree so far hahah

i also had to stop myself from backtracking to keel more mobs... as there was no exp to gain.. the grid system has yet to be unlocked! !@#%@#

they should have just allowed us to hold on to the button and they will auto attack.

i'll probably play until a free zone to that i can show peeps when they come over.. then go back to finishing Dragon Age. lol

I honestly can't believe what they did. I would give this a 5/10, and that's being generous. Its a huge leap backwards, from being able to swap gambits, your entire alliance, access menus, change equipment, etc. in XII to not even being able to attack the same target with 2 attackers. First Pope fight Fang just kept hitting main target instead of helping me kill the panels, totally wasted the break zerg ( ... )

Aye, definitely think they have far too casualized this game. Wasn't expecting the lack of challenges really, which feels like a failing point for a Final Fantasy game.

It's probably better not to think of it as part of the FF series I guess (well FF1-12) and more like a completely new series in itself (Fabula Nova Crystallis).
