listening to jack johnson, i really realize how much i appreciate his lyrics. this really has nothing to do with what im about to discuss but i said that to avoid what i really am about to talk about. this is amusing because this entry is about avoidance. i found out that a major part of getting into grad school is having a lot of community service

dude, yeah, that job has nothing to do with what you give, its all about listening. if you try to give them a bunch of advice they'll get pissed and wont listen and that will make YOU frustrated, i mean you know it, youve lived it.

the point is to listen to them talk and ask them the right reasons so they can HEAR THEMSELVES and hear their own problems and then THEY can fix them. worried about what to give kat? its the easiest thing ever, and youre the best at it already, just give them a friendly enviroment where they can let out what they feel and sort things out for THEMSELVES. You're already amazing at it so dont stress.
