I have nothing exciting to post but here have another poem. Someone gave me the prompt "cats eating chocolate." I HOPE YOU ENJOY IT
chicanery. B(
Once there was a kitty, who really loved to eat
Constantly he'd search the house, looking for a treat
Eventually he got so fat, he couldn't climb the stairs
Nor could he reach the couch, or jump into the chairs
His owner was not happy with his lack of discipline
And so she swore that one day, her kitty would be thin
She started him on a diet, which really ticked him off
She set his food beside him, he'd look at it and scoff
Kitty cat was stubborn, and at first refused to eat
But when he started to get hungry, he had to choose defeat
He walked into the kitchen, shuffled to the bowl
That was when he saw it, high on the table
He went in for a closer look, could it be a trap?
There was a piece of chocolate, lying there, unwrapped
Checking that the coast was clear, he wandered toward the chair
And with a giant leap of faith, he flew into the air
He was sure that he could make it, but perhaps was in denial
With each leap he came crashing down onto the tile
It was then he realized the error of his ways
And so then on, from that day forward, he started to lose weight
