I was in the lobby where a lot of the action was going on, but I felt sort of out of place. So, I decided to go for a walk. It was about dark, but I knew my way around..sort of. Tara had gone up to bed early, so I was by myself for now. I sighed, hugging my coat closer to me as the wind blew at me as I opened the lobby doors. It was late, but there ( Read more... )

I left the hotel, but of course not without waving a goodbye to Lorne and Nia. Faith was walking into the lobby on my way out and I barely managed to avoid her. God. And people said I could be a true bitch.

As I walked, passing the stores and what not, I realized I hadn't been out of the hotel since before the coma. LA didn't change that much or anything, but some of the stores were gone. I sighed. This was one long .. time. Or whatever you wanted to call it.

And I found myself drifting back to before I had the visions, before any of this happened. And one word, name came to my mind. Doyle. I could feel my heart breaking as I thought about him. And how it was too little too late.

Passing by a what else, magic shop, I saw a familiar burst of red hair. Willow, duh. This was .. oh! This was brilliant! Opening the door, bells jingling like crazy, I waved at the women. We stopped in here pretty often for books and what not cause of Wesley's book fetish.

"Willow?" I called, following down one of the aisles.

I was walking down one of the aisles, just admiring all of the amazing books that were here. Goddess. Some of thes were like classics, that I had heard some about from the Council and then some from Giles of course. I was taking a book down from one of the shelves when I heard someone call my name. I was a bit jumpy today..not sure why, so yup. I dropped the book and it landed on my foot. It was a pretty heavy book too.

I leaned down to pick it up, wincing and holding my foot as I then looked behind me to see who had been calling me. The voice sounded really familiar, but I hadn't heard it in a while..it sounded like..

"Cordelia!?" I said, a bit too loud. After all, it was a book store. Sort of like a library. Oops.

She walked up to me and I smiled at her, holding the book I had took down in my one hand.

I walked into the aisle she was in and smiled. Well, some things hadn't changed. For instance, Willow in a book store with a book. I shrugged at her.

"It's me. In the flesh and out of a coma. But, I think you knew that. How are you?" I asked, glancing over at the book in her hand.

Something about magick in the 14th century, or something. As if I hadn't seen all of these at one point or another because of Wesley.

Focus Chase. You were here on a mission, only you didn't want to seem to desperate.

"I kinda need your help."

I smiled at Cordelia as she walked up to me.

How are you?

"'m pretty good, and you? Being all..post-coma." I said with a smile. Then, I saw her glance at the book in my arms.

"Oh, this. It's just some research..on what we might be dealing with...now." I said, a bit quieter. I wasn't sure if she knew about the First still being up and at it, but I sure as heck didn't want other people knowing..or thinking I'm crazy.

Then, her face turned back to the way it always was. Happy looking and hyperish. Thats the Cordy I remember. Only, I hope she wasn't so snobby now..maybe the coma helped that.

I kinda need your help.

I smiled.

"Now, where have I heard that before?" I asked, smiling.

"Okay, whats up?" I asked her, placing the book back on the shelf.
