Summertime and the Livin' Is Easy

Saturday was commencement and the end of the school year. Today is the start of summer and the energy on campus is so much lighter. This past year was oppressive and it was hard just being on campus let alone trying to get any work done. Bad budgets and furloughs really took their toll on everyone

Smiling into Summer is the way to go. I'm learning a lot about my little camera and my on-line editing program as the dog project goes on. Although I sometimes feel like I'm cheating if I adjust the contrast or play with the color a little. Hubby tells me it's the same thing a good "old-fashioned" photographer would do in a dark-room, so why shouldn't I take advantage of the technology at hand to make my pictures look better.

I've had second thoughts about editing photos, too. But I also know I hadn't set the camera correctly in the first place and most of my edits have been to compensate for that.

It is fun to play with saturation and taking all the color out of a photo to see what it would look like in B&W.

Extreme edits can bring out some interesting effects too.
