Ninomiya ‘Nino’ Kazunari had a roommate. His name was Ohno Satoshi. Initially, they were just good friends who were really close to each other. However, about a month ago, their status changed from friends to lovers.
It happened when the two of them hung out together one night. What started from drinking beer led to a confession. Perhaps because he was too drunk, Ohno admitted that he had been in love with Nino from the moment they met. Nino, having the same feeling as Ohno, suggested they start dating. And, that was how their relationship status changed. However, their friends weren’t aware of it yet.
“Hey, do you really have to go?” Said Nino from the bed as he watched Ohno getting ready. Today was Saturday and he had been looking forward to spending the day snuggling with Ohno at home. But, his boyfriend has a seminar to attend.
“Sorry,” said Ohno. “I don’t want to go but it is compulsory for everyone in my department,”
Nino could only pout as he rose from the bed. As usual, Ohno struggled to put on his tie. So, Nino had to help the man.
“Don’t pout,” said Ohno, caressing his cheeks. “It’s hard to resist kissing you when you pout,”
“Just kiss me, then,”
“I can’t. If I start to kiss you, you know what will happen next,”
Nino smirked, thinking of it. A kiss between the two of them would always lead to a hot love-making session.
“I promise that I will make it up to you later,”
“Okay,” said Nino. “But, kiss me before you go, please. Just a chaste kiss,”
Ohno chuckled upon hearing his request before he tightened his arms around Nino’s waist. He leaned in, ready to put his lips on Nino’s but…
The sound of the bell echoed in their house.
“It’s still early,” said Ohno. “Who will come at this hour?”
“Who else?” Nino headed to the door. “It must be those idiots,”
Those idiots were their friends. Sho, Aiba and Jun. They sometimes came to ruin Nino’s plan to laze around in his house on a weekend.
Nino opened the door and Aiba grinned at him. Both Jun and Sho were behind him. Nino let the three of them enter.
“Eh, are you going to work?” Asked Aiba when he noticed the suits Ohno was wearing.
“Yes,” said Ohno solemnly. “I have a seminar today,”
“Awh, that’s too bad,” said Jun. He pointed at the paper bag in his hand. “I bring waffles. Have some before you go,”
“Sure,” said Ohno. He never said no to food.
As it was still early, Nino just watched the others eat. He wondered what the others planned for him today and what excuse should he come up with to refuse them.
“Yabai!” Said Ohno as he looked at the clock. “I have to go now,”
He took his bag and headed to the door. Nino frowned when he realized something so he immediately stopped his boyfriend.
“Ohchan, you forget…”
“Ah!” At first, Ohno tilted his head confusedly. However, he seemed to realize what Nino was talking about and rushed to the table before Nino could tell him what it was. He raised Nino’s head and put his lips against Nino’s, earning a gasp from the others.
“Baka!” Said Nino as he smacked Ohno’s head lightly. “I was talking about your phone,”
Ohno chuckled when he noticed his phone on the table. He took the phone and then kissed Nino again, on the cheeks this time before he headed out.
“So, you and Satoshi are finally together,” Said Sho once Ohno was out.
“Yes, finally!”
A/N: Ryusei no Kizuna is now on Netflix so I decided to rewatch it. Nino is so handsome as Ariake Koichi.
