This was a very interesting and perceptive look in how things might have turned out in the film version which omits Faramir's recognition of Aragorn. Very well written.

Thanks very much!! That whole shuffling under the carpet in the movies (and even to an extent in the books, though by no means to the same extent) of the whole Aragorn-takes-the-throne thing has always beckoned me to write a Gondorian response, so I was pleased that I was able to fit it in here.

I always thought that was interesting in the film about the lack of Gondorian representation, and the line about Gimli even sitting in the Steward's chair was especially hilarious. *snerk*

And the way you dealt with the culture differences was also well done--there is so much room to play with this even in the book, and it's the kind of thing I love exploring, especially in regard to the relationship between Faramir and Eomer.

But I could not have imagined a more perfect gift--thank you oh so very much, darling!!! <3!

This was quite an intense fic! I loved the tension that existed between those of Rohan and those of Gondor and the inherent uneasiness that divided the Gondorians themselves. A thoughtful, well-written piece indeed.

This story should have been written into the ROTK movie, but wasn't - a valid extrapolation of what would have really happened between the scenes.
