how about another update on david deacon? it looks like somebody thought his earlier complaint wasn't totally without merit, because he did indeed manage to get himself a new attorney, one of the two he suggested in fact.

Judith Shields is a friend of his sister. It's not hard to get switched from the public defender - which is what he originally had - to a defense attorney his family is paying for. It hasn't changed the substance of the charges against him; there's really nothing to update until the trial actually occurs. November, if we're lucky.
