I would.

A friend of mine has been through hell and back, and I would like to bring him a little peace of mind. To be specific, I would like some events taken from his memory so he can have a new outlook on things.

How benevolent of you. I wonder how the shock might come to that other, though. Or will he or she be caught unawares and never know the difference? Perhaps the latter.

My hope is that he would never know the difference, but if he did, then I could handle myself.
