Developing Situation

While I was at a family get together, I had a feeling that something was wrong. I felt a disturbance in the Force, as it were. When I got home a while later, my feeling was con firmed.

A second fire has also broken out aprox. 30-35KM to the north of the first fire on Terrace Mountian.

Odd that it isn't listed on the Natural Resources Canada website. I thought they listed all forest fires. Maybe it's too new for them??

The Terrace Mtn. fire won't sow up till later today as the page is only updated once a day.

The NRC website was updated overnight with the Kelowna fire.

As interesting as the other links are, I'd rather have a Canada-wide map, so I have one place to check, rather than having to find all the province-specific websites.

Interesting maps on the bcwildfire.com website, though!

Things are crazy right now. I'm working and so far haven't been evacuated. Farg, you didn't know about any of this until I told you when I got home. *sighs* One thing nice about being in with BCFS, I get ALL the dirty stuff that the press doesn't ever get to hear, and I know well beforehand before anything gets broadcast to the general public. People don't know the half of it.
