Well, looking at that list, I'd say you're much better off without any of them. The only one out of 60 that I'd visit by choice would be a Red Lobster. They used to be decent seafood and reasonable prices, though the last time I actually was in one (a couple of years back) they were literally overrun with rowdy, noisy patrons so perhaps no longer so pleasant. The rest are schlock, always the same (Americans prefer never to be surprised) fast food and kiddieland to dump the kids in places.
I've noticed that even a tasty meal substitute can be easily spoiled with lousy sound proofing and loudly beeping kitchenware. Though with my ears, I should probably invest in good pair of ear plugs...
Fast food is fast. Including the customers, not feeling too comfortable lounging around and taking valuable space reserved for the paying ones.
I understand about the ears. Mine are ultrasensitive too, and though I've learned to tune out distant conversations that the participants think are private, I still have a very difficult time with shrieking children. There are far too many of the latter in most of those places on the list.
I avoid fast food, and to some extent, blame it for my condition. I didn't look after myself and ate all sorts of crap burgers, microwave pizzas and other unsuitable for human/zebra consumption.
It seems there are three of us hypersensitive people here. Shrieking children nearly make me want to... erm, silence them with a nice, tight hug around the neck. I also have a theory that they are shrieking because they are cold. I'd love to warm them up a little... With a flamethrower or gasoline and matches. >:) *grins in a deranged fashion and lets out a hollow, bloodchilling laughter.* Yesss... Fire, good...
