A Day of Lasts

Not the last day of waking up here but the last to walk to the ap. we felt it necessary to go into "our" mini market, for closure, to buy something/anything. we asked the lady we have gotten to "know" in there if she would pose for a photo, but she declined with a smile. i had a grape drink of sorts which had a really POW nasty kick to it when i first tasted it, but the after taste was really nice. tasted like grape gum.

the whole day at the ap, people were coming and going constantly. never the same two people in the place. well except for me and osama.

he was watching the last king of scotland when everybody left. now i was gonna put in a little sex scene anecdote, but really...it wasnt funny or interesting and it just feels sorta strained, so im giving up on that.
the movie ive now "seen" twice though. first time i just saw it for gillian anderson. she was barely in it so i payed like 0.3% attention to the rest of the movie. i registered that kerry washington was in it.
now though, gilly was still in it far too little, but i also noticed how frickin hot kerry was in it!! dayym! she is seriously gorgeous! but anywho, lets try to segway away from the complete shallow...hard i know. but like the last time i saw it, i tuned out after like half and i still dont know exactly what happened in the end.
this was also the movie that made me hate james mcavoy. now i like him! calm down! but i used to seriously despise him. and then he had to go and do wanted and make out with angie. frakker. but then i saw a couple talk shows with him and hes so sweet. funny and cute, so now hes on my list of nice guys.

when the peeps came back i realized i never had lunch and we, dad, sis and me, went out for our last dinner in china. the rest of the boring peeps stayed and had McDs. same old vietnamese place, close and cheap, but i had fried rice this time. it had egg and meat pieces and peas and stuff in it. it was such a big portion too. and i ate 98.6% of it. felt sorta proud. and i can chow down a lot, but this was a feat. im also surprised i was able to inhale some fried squid and spring roles. yea im glad i didnt heave after we got the check. my standard drink of choice at the viet place has been the orange/watermelon juice drink thing. its actually really tasty. never appreciated watermelon as a liquid before. and all 3 of our meals went for 115 rmbs. still amazed how food is so cheap here.
lol i was spazzing out at dinner too. there was barely anyone there but cringing out sis is one of lifes small joys. its a tough gig but someones got to do it.

then we went into 7-eleven for the last time, and i bought black colored q-tips. never seen them in black before. bet my ear wax will look funky smeared on those.

as we went back to the ap to do some more nothing, The Mummy 3 came on and i thought it was fitting because it takes place in china. i know its supposed to take place during the 40s, and china mustve looked a whole lot different back then, but i just wish beijing looked a little more like china in the movie.

leaving the ap for the last time, we couldnt decide if we should walk or take a cab. turns out it was drizzling a little as we started walking ,and we turned back to go talk to gum boy about a cab. mostly because dad didnt want to get his hair wet...long story.
btw have i mentioned gum boy before? well it originates from sis giving him gum while he waited for the cab he called us. ergo gum boy. hes a nice and sweet man who works in the apartment building as receptionist or something, and our relationship now consists of offering each other things.
tonight she gave him some sort of chewy piece of candy and he gladly accepted. not having anything else on him he offered dad a smoke but dad, trying to be responsible or whatever, declined. so many people smoke here btw. in all kinds of places. really annoying.
anywho, we kept waiting for the frickin cab to get there. asked gum boy if hed pose for a pic and he did! yay! and then we gave up and walked home anyways. the rain had stopped and the taxis were a no show. the air was really cool, almost chilly and sis kept taking night pix of everything.

we got home at like 9:30 and i pretty much just went to bed because a 5:45 wake up call needs some sleep. our last night at the hotel.
