[He sits up and rubs the back of his head. He doesn't see anyone and looks around, confused, until he sees the bi metal ball on the ground under his legs. He gets off of it and then leans in to examine it closer.]

[Another man sits beside the farmhouse, reading a book.

Unlike Phillip, this is a physical book and in a rare moment of eating his lunch, he catches Cougar in a moment of not speeding around on foot or in a car.]

[Suddenly, Cougar bursts out in laughter!]

[Philip jumps, nearly dropping his own book. He looks over at Cougar, kind of staring for a moment as if trying to figure out if he's where the sound came from. He's not really even sure what to do about it. Shotaro is much better at talking to people than he is.

BUT THERE IS A BOOK INVOLVED! So Philip will wander over and tilt his head, trying to catch a glimpse at the title.]

If Phillip can read Russian, it's The Brothers Karamazov by Fyodor Dostoyevsky.]
