i have never worn a wet suit before but am thinking of getting one. do you have an opinion about long legs or half leg trousis?

It very much depends on what you want to do in it, where you want to do it, and when.

swim in the sea in brighton. with the fibro i shouldn't swim in the cold because i could spaz and drown (medical phraseology, i know i can talk that way to you) so i am thinking a cunning wet suit would be the way forward.

Thought I'd replied to this, obviously not.

I would get a full length suit, make sure you get a swimming suit, or a triathlon suit, rather than a surfing suit. I have an ORCA Equip, and it's lovely. Worth the extra money over the S3, as it is far more flexible. BlueSeventy due a similarly priced suit that my swimming chum has - the sizing is a little different, so worth trying if the ORCA ones don't fit well.
