It was nice to see Impa again, even if it was pretty brief. Shame I couldn't see Darunia, though...

[He sounds rather down at that, and there's a little break of silence before he speaks again. When he does, it sounds a little less sad - more hopeful.Well, it's the year's turn. It went pretty well, if you ask me. Not as much activity from the ( Read more... )

[Dev hums lowly in thought]

Well New Years was actually kinda hectic at first for me back home. My mum ran a cake shop and was usually making cakes on commission for people so I helped her out with that.

Come New Year's eve we just sat around the fire, played Uno for about 2 hours, drank, watched TV and ocassionally had friends around to join us.

[Dev laughs, it sounds a little melancholic.]

As much as I used to complain about them, I'm actually pretty sad I spent new Year's by myself.

I'm sorry you were alone...

Maybe we could do something tonight? All of us in the apartments, I mean. I know it's not the exact turn of the New Year, but still...

No, it's fine, I should have asked for company rather than feeling sorry for myself now.

[Though the idea is definately appealing.]

That sounds nice yeah. I'd like that and I think others will.

I mean celebrating new years on new years eve seems a little odd when you think about it...it's almost like celebrating Christmas at the turn of midnight on Christmas Eve...Sorry I'm rambling

... I don't feel anything missing...

[Be right back: checking the headspace... Nope. Nothing seems missing.]

[Her feed is on, but she's just listening quietly for a little while before saying anything.]

That's a pretty tune.

It's about the ties of friendship, and the strength in the heart that grows ever stronger. A... very dear friend taught it to me.

Hmm... bunch of fireworks, booze, that sort of deal. [Mostly had his attention with the music.]

Must be pretty big over there, if you get fireworks. Or are they a lot more common where you're from than where I'm from?

Guess you could just call it tradition. Kinda something everyone does.
