Per the advice of several friends and colleagues, I have decided to make this livejournal Friends Only.I don’t like doing this, as my entries generally contain a fun summary of monthly events and shout-outs to friends I have seen. Nevertheless, keeping my affairs off the radar of the general public seems the responsible thing

Is this a voting thing? If so can we vote him out?? I mean, not that I am saying I want to vote him out. I just want to know my options here.

I wonder if he is a stalker? Did you notice how he was the first one?? Could be competition to try to be the alpha of this LJ?
Next thing you know he is posting your LJ. Gotta watch for that.
You know we could take him for a scuba trip over at Rancho La Brea on a Sunday. Let him jump in first and your Alpha Saberness is secure. Just ideas to consider.

Keeping entries friends only (mostly so it makes finding random google information a little harder) seems to be the way to go nowadays. When I was applying for my job, I made it a good point to remove personal contact info (minus the binary translation) from every source.

Yep yep....good common sense is locking things up, I think. Had it public for about two years, anyway. That should be enough time to net most of the parties interested in following along anyway.

Making a filter for viewing your friends list can be helpful also. It allows you to 'friend' people you don't know so well and want to view your LJ without having to view their entries every time you hit your friends page. This is particularly helpful for people who post NSFW stuff without cuts, etc.. to keep them from popping up on your computer at work or in public when checking your friends list.
