I didn't know you could get calculators with a +VAT button on them. :o

It was a wooden flute you got, then? I thought full-length flutes had to be metal for all the working parts, or was it one of those mini ones called fifes? I don't really remember though, not had all that much experience with flutes.

Yeah :) Wooden, six holed (which is apparently an Irish style)... Smells lovely xD

Oooh, pretty, guess I was wrong about the metal then. Now that I think about it, I've seen black wooden flutes before. *nods*

Got any books for learning the flute, or are you planning to go by trial and error? :)

I think I'm beyond help for a book xD

And yeah, looking through the website, apparently they do quite good business, stealing customers from the metal flute playing type people... 'cus they're cheap... and sound nice...

'cept when I'm playing.

Yeah xD I know... *hangs head in shame* sad thing is, I just can't afford trips to the states often xD and there's kinda someone top on my priority list to visit ;)

I've got so many folks I really aught to meet sometime (or revenge visit) :x And just not enough funds to do it :x

When I'm a little richer :3 With luck this new job is the first step in that direction too :)

Good on you for managing to make that flute make a noise, I've had a go on soul_rider's flute a couple of times, couldn't make it make any kind of noise at all - I'll stick to the violin!

I was talking to Fran last night - we'll have to see if we can persuade her to come join us down the Fat Cat on bonfire night!
