On the front lines of an oil spill

So a couple days ago I was sent out on emergency repairs for several coastal radar systems that can help track the oil spill tragectory out in Alabama and Mississippi. I must say everyone here is putting up a brave face but a quiet dread can be seen in their eyes. My waitress for dinner was chatting with me that she had to calm a fellow waitress

I think that's a statement of hope. I know that I have had periods of my life that were totally messed up, but in hindsight long afterward, I see things happened that help me along my way. So perhaps she is right. We do seem to be better at pulling together in times of crises and worse about arguing when things are otherwise going well.

I wouldn't blame BP until the facts are in. Maybe it was purposeful!
