There is no way I'm re-watching Incubator sober, and I've still got a cold.
Relativity
A. OH, AERYN. I know I can say lots more (and I probably will), but so much of this episode boils down to Aeryn's pain. All of the things she's learned, and they're all as nothing to her mother. This ship that she loves, these people that she loves--her mother would destroy it all, and in the end, Aeryn has to destroy her.
Claudia's face when Crais is shooting, and John holding her--GAH. it gets me, every time.
B. Stark and Rygel, buddy-cops? It should be a spin-off. They're the only comic relief, here, and they provide that slight amusement so the rest of it feels stark.
...pun not intended.
C. The show tried experimenting with weird atmospheres. I think the rubber plants work about as well as they did in Planet of the Daleks. =D
D. John vs. Crais. This was the showdown everyone was waiting for, and it doesn't even get wrapped up in a neat little bundle. John distrusts him so much, and Crais... well, Crais could be telling the truth, in the end.
E. Xhallax is so ruthless. All she wants is to get the job done and move on. I think she's as much in Peacekeeper debt as her minions are, only she can never leave.
Incubator
A. No, seriously, I need something strong like tequila. Please. Because all of Scorpy's stuff is so ugly and sick, but in a way, I'm glad the show went there, even if it will never give me any sort of sympathy for him.
B. The b-plot is more expansion of John's obsession with wormholes. OH JOHN. YOU NEED A BETTER HOBBY. Also, there's some more Chiana and Jool interaction.
C. And then there's Braca and his loyalty to Scorps. <3 Oh, Braca.
D. Finally. head!John, who's more of a ruthless bastard than Scorpy is, in the end.
