Um, so apparently the people who protested regularly outside George Tiller's clinic are adrift! alone! after Tiller's murder. Where did I pack that tiny violin...?

It's a stupid article, to be sure. But I think there might be something legitimate to the idea that they never really thought they would close the clinic, so it became a futile struggle in which they could invest an incredible amount of time an energy.

I'm still not terribly sympathetic--it's like a self-made Sisyphus being surprised when the rock goes away.
