Been thinking about it for a while. Finally bought it last night.

A Russian Horizon 202 Panoramic camera.

This is going to ROCK on my little vacation...

Oh wow. That's a pretty cool toy.

I occasionally wish that I was more of a photographer, but find that when I'm somewhere where taking pictures would be cool, I'm too in the moment to remember to actually take any photos.

I'm pretty good at taking pictures when appropriate. And I have several in mind that I am going to take with this camera.

The coolest thing is that with the parallax distortion around the extreme edges, you can get cool effects by just tilting the camera. Hold it level and you get a nice wide panorama. Tilt it downwards a bit and you get a wild fisheye-curvature-of-the-earth thing, which should be very cool for Burning Man.

I should get it Thursday, and I leave Friday. So I can see myself late at night on Friday sitting in my tent trying to decipher the Russian manual... this is gonna be a LOT of fun!

I feel inspired! I'm going to go drop off the film from my last vacation and finally get it developed!

So PayPal fucked up the order, and now I don't have my groovy camera for my trip.

Bastards. They are ALWAYS fucking something up...

Guess I'll just save my money for a real WideLux now. Slobber....
