Anna Wintour stepped out in blond last night, debuting a new look, as New York's Metropolitan Museum was the setting for the annual Costume Institute gala that this year took the theme: 'Dangerous Liaisons: Fashion and Furniture in the 18th Century'. This year, Wintour (US Vogue editor) chose Renée Zellweger and Jude Law to host.

I was just reading about the Costume Institute, myself. I'm a bit dissapointed at the outcome; I'm an avid fan of mid-17th century fashion, and there were very few who actually followed the theme at all. I adored Amber Valletta's look, though I might have done something slightly different with the hair. What was everybody else thinking? It looked as though they didn't announce the theme until the last minuet. Oh, and Kim Cattrall looked horrid! I wasn't too impressed with Eva Mendes or Gina Sanders, either.
