PARIS will be a poorer place come Couture Week. Both Emanuel Ungaro and Donatella Versace have announced that they are bowing out of fashion's most exclusive week, which is set to run from July 6 - 9. NO!! i'm so sad..i love couture. it is art! not meant to be hung in a closet...art that should be worn and celebrated! this fashion week will be severly lacking.. :(

I think what we have to remember is that the 'couture' shows are the really flamboyant shows that promote more a designer's creativity than actual garments released for public sale. Those would be the ready-to-wear shows in March and September that are then sold through stores and boutiques. Generally, couture clothing goes right from the runway back to a designers studio and into storage.

Yeah still at the appropriate, over the top, function you could wear that as long as you weren't going to sit down! Still she looks very powerful and sexy. Perhaps thats in context though. Could the same attitude come off in the street? mmm.
