"oh ok, i mean i love this song in my own way, and its "my song" but i guess she has a special but different connection with it also" self explanatory.
eh i'd give this a B-/C+shescelticFebruary 9 2005, 01:50:34 UTC
of course they're comparable. but i take back what i said about that too, some people(boys) are pretty damn great. haha i like your censoring of my words anita, good job. but yeah..i know what i mean. and words can't do it justice. so you won't be showing 'miss thang' anything. because i still won't be wrong. let it be.
hey anita, so im not sure if the arguement was over the song or guy..lol blonde, BUT i do agree with what your saying , everyone in there own way connects/relates to certain things in their own way which can or cANnot be compadable with anothers, its like how theres no one truth to a story because each person who tells it unknowingly adds something or twists something intentional or not, so its allways to differents extremes. and no One person owns anything, i dont care if they bought it its not JuSt theres, cuz chacnes are one more person has the same thing, people..songs...items...whatever, is not one persons, thats just silly. and besides arent we suppose to fill the world with love?...greed, jealousy and pride are not in loves definition. and in no way do i mean this bitchy or rude to ms.malloy :) i just understand the conflict i guess. :D much love-karis
i am going to have to side with alex on this one. i guess for myself (and alex for that matter) there is a connection to the song that is so deep that you feel like no one will ever understand and when someone claims they do, you are protective over this and in some cases argue that this person can never experience those same feelings. i guess it also has to do with the song not being as special as it was because now someone has felt something that they say you have also felt. its that song and that moment and that feeling that is yours so you feel threatened when someone claims to understand.
oh yeah, you are also right in the sense that someone could have a special deep connection with it. you cant deny that but it's when someone claims to feel the same as you is when i, at least, get defensive.
i agree with both sides. i think a person can feel that there connection with a song (or person or whatever) is somehting only they can experience and that anyone else's attempt would be fruitless, but i also think that someone would realize that if they have this deep true connection to the song, so personal to them that they cannot even express it or articulate their thoughts about it, that someone else might feel the exact same way, but its personal to them, so maybe they too have trouble expressing it or explaining their connection in, say, a debate. but i personally would feel bonded to the person in a very unique way, because we both feel this deep connection to the same thing. it wouldnt matter that our connections were different, or even that one was more meaningful than the other, what matters is that something strong connects the two of us.
