So I saw these guys last night. The Section Quartet is a string quartet that does covers of modern rock songs. So, for instance, they covered "Juicebox" by The Strokes, "Time Is Running Out" by Muse, and "No One Knows" by Queens of the Stone Age, among others.

I've been doing some randomly directed music acquisition today, and I get the sense that some of us may have missed out on an awesome concert last Saturday at PAX. Jonathan Coulton is a genius - how did I never realize it until now?

Now there's no choice but to go back next year.

Got a cashier's check from the construction company today, which covers all the work on my car. I am relieved.

Everybody should go see Death at a Funeral while it's still in theaters. It's not quite the same kind of humor as Superbad, but still hilarious.

Got a signed fax from the construction dude today agreeing to pay for all of the work on my car and for a rental until my car is done. So I think I'll be okay there...and the insurance adjuster I talked to said we can open the claim back up in the event they don't pay.
