Apparently San Diego International Airport has a departure curfew of 11:30 pm, because of its proximity to downtown and various developed areas. I know this because my return flight from there, scheduled to depart at 8:45 last night, didn't lift off until 11:29 pm. No such luck in the 8-ball tournament today. I wasn't playing quite my A game today, and I got knocked out in the second round (of 4 rounds). No big deal though - I had chances, I just couldn't quite get the cue ball to do what I wanted and the other guy was shooting well, so there you go ( Read more... )

If you haven't seen the new Bond flick yet, I would definitely recommend it. It was easily the best one I've seen since Goldeneye, and at first viewing I'd say it even stacked up favorably with some of Connery's movies.

Amusing note about the movie: one of the producers' names is Dan Kleinman. No wonder I haven't heard much from him lately. :)

I just preordered my copy of Guitar Hero 2 (comes out next Tuesday). The regular track list looks pretty good, but some of the bonus tracks are genius. For example, you can unlock "Thunderhorse" by Dethklok. (This is funnier if you've seen the show Metalocalypse on adult swim).

But the real bonus song? Trogdor. I cannot wait for this game to get
