So...I needed to post something.

Because I've been applying to college for two months now, and it never ends.

So, I've been obsessed with JunDa lately (Ueda Tatsuya and Taguchi Junnosuke from KAT-TUN). I'm working on handwriting a fic that will, hopefully, be absolutely amazing. But it's not getting typed until I'm handwriting part ||, which will take me a while.

In the meantime, I wanted to write something else, I guess. Just something quick? XD

Title: It's easier to hide if you're short.
Pairing: JunDa (Ueda Tatsuya / Taguchi Junnosuke)
Rating: PG?
Genre: Romance, Comedy (?)
Length: One-Shot
Beta: none
Warnings: This was written back before Ueda's solo concerts, but after they were announced.
Summary: Taguchi decided today he would confess, no matter what.

Taguchi Junnosuke was currently hitting his head against the wall in the dressing room. Ueda's solo concert was almost over, and he'd soon come back. Taguchi had slipped into the dressing room soon after Ueda walked out, planning to surprise the older man. In the downtime while Ueda performed, he would think of how he was going to finally confess. For the past year now, Taguchi found he was becoming more and more obsessed with his bandmate, much like any fangirl would. Today was his day to confess. It had to be.

And yet, Taguchi had yet to figure out how he would explain his presence in the other man's dressing room.

The crowd stopped clapping overhead, and Taguchi knew the concert was over. He stood up and rubbed the sweaty palms of his hands along his jeans, hoping to calm his nerves. He sat back down again and tried to control his breathing. He had slept in the same room as this man before, and yet Taguchi couldn't help his actions. He had never liked someone this much before. Well, once, but a crush in third grade is hardly a crush.

The door to the dressing room opened. Taguchi stood up and knew he couldn't control what was going to come out of his mouth. He closed his eyes as his body took over, blurting out "I like you" rather loudly. In the silence Taguchi opened one of his eyes, peeking to see the other man's face. Taguchi freaked.

"Oh, no! not you, I mean. Uepi, err, Tat-chan, err, Ueda, I mean. I like Ueda, not you! I didn't mean you." Taguchi stumbled over words as he tried to explain himself to the rather uninterested, tired staff member dropping off what was most likely Ueda's dinner. As the staff member walked out Taguchi sat down, sighing. This would be harder than he thought.

The door opened again, and this time Taguchi dived behind the chair he was sitting in. His nerves made his heart beat like crazy and his legs feel like jelly. He couldn't confess this way. No way. But what if the other person really was Ueda? Could Taguchi afford to let this chance go? Could he live the rest of his life knowing he came so close to confessing but backed out due to a staff member? Could he explain himself if Ueda found him hiding behind the couch?

Judging by the warm air hitting his neck, he'd have to.

Taguchi looked up, straight at Ueda, who was staring at him with confusion on his face. Taguchi looked back down again at the floor, reaching one hand over to pinch himself. When he confirmed the pain, he looked up again and willed his heart to stop trying to rip it's way out.

"Junno?" Ueda asked, still watching the taller man hide behind a couch a third of his height. Ueda tried hard to hide his smile, finding the scene in front of him funnier than any of the puns Taguchi ever told him. The staff had alerted him earlier that Taguchi was in his dressing room, but he wasn't prepared to find the man hiding from him.

"Uepi...err...I mean, I'm...I have to...um...oh, man...I was going to..." Taguchi mumbled, trying to find any word that didn't sound dumb. Maybe he should have actually prepared to confess to Ueda instead of watching him perform via that little TV in the corner that practically told him to watch it.

"Stand up, maybe?" Ueda supplied, reaching out a hand to help the other man up. He finally smiled, knowing now that he could keep himself from laughing at the other man. "You could have watched the concert from somewhere closer than my dressing room, you know."

"Err, right." Taguchi took Ueda's hand and stood up, too nervous to let go. After his first, and rather wrong, confession, Taguchi had no clue how what to say anymore. The words just wouldn't come up like he needed them to. He opened his mouth to say something, but closed it again when he realized nothing would come out. Next thing Taguchi knew, a strong hand was on the back on his neck pulling his head down and soft lips were pressed up against his own. His eyes widened, but he didn't pull away. He let Ueda do that seconds later.

Ueda took one look at his face and laughed. He just laughed. Taguchi frowned, but found himself too happy, and too confused, to really put two words together. Again. He figured this would be a habit for him now. Inability to speak.

"I heard you, with the staff," Ueda explained. "I was right outside the door, talking to our manager. Your confession wasn't very romantic, but it defiantly had 'Taguchi' written all over it."

Taguchi knew his face was red. Completely red. He had heard. Such a dumb confession, and Uepi had heard it. Taguchi, in very mechanical movements, bowed, stood up straight, and started off towards the door to the dressing room, trying very, very hard not to look at Ueda. The older man, however, just grabbed his arm and pulled him back.

"I didn't say I didn't like it."

Taguchi actually found himself glad that he was the biggest idiot anyone ever knew.
