to put a picture in, go to "Modify Journal" under "Your settings" (on the sidebar), scroll down to the bottom and add this code in the box:

GLOBAL_HEAD<=

<=GLOBAL_HEAD

and if you want to it stay fixed, change the image line to:

background-image: url(http://www.your-website.com/image.jpg) !important;
background-attachment: fixed !important;

I see someone already posted the stuff for background images... if you need to know how to make a static image (so it stays in one spot while scrolling), let me know :-P
