What you like doing in your spare time and why: Art. It’s not a hobby for me, it’s my life.
Favorite book and why:
Salad Days because it is not your typical punk youth book, but something outside of these nooks of pretense, attire, and attitude. It aspires to be something outside of the “scene,” It’s a book that screams independence and will. Something which I strongly agreed with.
Angela’s Ashes for it’s charisma. Frank McCourt has a strong voice he’s able to tell his stories as if you were right along side him at some Diner casually chatting it up.
Catch-22, I enjoyed this book more for the English nerds worldwide reasons, the way in which it was written was different and for being a story about war it’s nothing near cliché. Catch-22?
LEVEL THREE: OPiNIONS (if you have a brain and use it)
Racism: I despise it, but prejudice of all forms will mostly be apart of our habitat. It is in our nature I suppose. Something that makes us what we are, mortal.
Gay Marriage: Marriage is marriage. Love is love. I see no reason for opposition. In recent times marriage seems nothing more than a piece of paper and an excuse for lavish spending and little to do with genuine love anymore.
Drugs: Personally, a no. I’m more of an observer; I like my senses to remain acute. However, I don’t condemn the usage. To each his own. Other people are not apart of my responsibility.
Abortions: Pro-Choice. I am pro-choice for the common reasoning of rape and all those cases, but beyond that sometimes I see it, as the best resort NOT a contraceptive. For instance, If the mother lacks the money to adequately raise the child, if the mother’s not emotionally equipped etc.. For a long time I was full fledged against abortion, now that I have garnered more years I am able to view this issue in broader light. Once upon a time I believed the best way was adoption, however repercussions also lie down that road. Either way it is looked at, adoption vs. abortion, the mother will face some degree of emotional turmoil, but with adoption that child too feels that emotional turmoil, not in all cases, but it is without a doubt that child will have questions and confused emotions.
Bush: Really? He’s a dunce, but I’m not much for politics, though I do be like to be as informed as possible. I hate war, but Bush hasn’t personally gunned me down and shipped me off to battle…yet. He’s just a rat in a Skinner Box for you psychology intrigued folks out there. ;)
LEVEL FOUR: RANDOM QUESTiONS
If you could change one thing in the world, what would it be:
People. Not change them, but slow their pace down a bit. People go about life so fast-paced as if it’s going to out run them, and in the long run going about life in that manner I guess it is. I wish the world would take the time to relish in experiences, any experience. Just sit back, take in all the beauty that surrounds us. Nourish our minds. Get the brain cells active. Read, paint, really love those who are “close.”
