Another day, another dollar...

Well they say that a man is what he does. Not sure I agree with such a statement, but then statements of that ilk rarely define or apply to me. That said I got bored, bored of being on EI, bored of having nothing to do and bored of having just enough money to get by each month ( Read more... )

A friend of mine is over working in jasper for a year and just had a holiday in Vancouver, so I saw a picture of it at night and agree, it was rather nice.

Maybe one day I'll be able to come and see for myself. :)

(Although I ought to spend most of my time in London, Ontario as that where another friend emigrated too)...

Sounds like a nice job... rlamond November 22 2006, 16:49:09 UTC
Congratulations, man.

Habit is indeed the key to healthier living. Walking to work, taking stairs - it all adds up.

Of course my walk to work is 3 minutes, so I have to muster up a walk after work to clear my head.

I'm doing pretty good, myself. :)

I always wondered what you rent-a- cops did! LOL!!
Glad to hear that you can get the exercise and the income all in one shot!
now if they would just put a stationary bike at my workstation...

Careful now, Rent-A-Cop, Wannabe and Nazi are the 3 most common insults for security. Now I don't care, though being called a Nazi kinda pissed me off, but some would, so I know you are saying it in jest, but you should know it is insulting.

Exercise and income together makes like a Reese's cup, two great things that go well together ;)

Stationary bikes bore the tears out of me, same for treadmills, stairmasters, elipticals, etc... I agree with Denis Leary... have we become fucking hamsters people? ;)

you're gonna hate hearing this...but quitting smoking is one of the things that helped me the most in being able to work out. *wry grin*

Incidentally, the girl and I will be in Vancouver for a day or so come xmas holidays...?

I tried quitting smoking earlier this year and nearly killed someone. Seriously my temper went right the fuck off. I know I can do it, I have done it before as well, but when I am stressed in life, quitting smoking is not an option. :)

When are you here? If my sched (work graveyards so it is kinda fucked) and yours can accommodate it we should go for a coffee. It's the west coast thing to do ;)

I needed the patch, and multiple attempts..I know the feeling. *g*

We're basically in on the 23rd. We fly in evening of the 22nd, and head to Victoria on the 24th. So...we have the day. I'm thinking of hooking up with Steve Herman the same day, so we could do a group thing or see you solo when it works for you. I have zero absolute plans, so meeting whenever works for you is cool.
